Worth your time nearby

Nearest beach

The village beach is 100 metres away and rarely busy outside August. If you want sunbeds, bars and a bit of noise, the Amadria Park beaches are a few minutes down the road.

Local market & restaurants

A market, a bakery and a handful of konobas sit within a 150 metre walk. Enough that you can buy breakfast, eat dinner out, and never move the car.

Šibenik city centre

Seven kilometres away, and the reason most people stop here. St James Cathedral is UNESCO-listed and built entirely of interlocking stone, without mortar. There are four fortresses above the town, a waterfront lined with restaurants, and steep stone lanes behind it.

Aquapark Dalmatia

The first themed water park in Croatia, inside the Amadria Park complex, a few minutes away. Useful on the day the children have had enough of the beach.

Krka National Park

The waterfalls are about 35 minutes inland, and the boardwalks around Skradinski Buk take a couple of hours to walk. Go early: by midday in July the car parks fill and so do the paths. Skradin, on the river below the park, is worth an hour on the way back.

Split & Zadar airports

Both are under an hour away, so you can take whichever flight is cheaper rather than whichever is closer.

Day trips

Days out that are worth the drive

Krka is the obvious one. Less obvious, and better on a hot day: the ferry from Šibenik to Zlarin or Prvić, two small islands with no cars on them. A short crossing, a swim, and a long lunch before the boat back.

Vodice is fifteen minutes north if you want bars and a promenade. Primošten is half an hour south, and its old town on a little peninsula is the better photograph.

If you don't have your own transport, we recommend Taxi Antonio, our family partner, who can also arrange your airport transfer.
